Mr Colin Nnadi completed his training in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery on the Wessex rotation, UK. He was awarded the FRCS(Orth) in 2006. Mr Nnadi has fellowship training from the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, London and the Norfolk and Norwich University Teaching Hospital. He worked as a Consultant at the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham. He took up his present post as Consultant Spine Surgeon at the Oxford University Hospitals in December 2008.
His interests include all aspects of general and complex spinal surgery with a sub-specialty interest in paediatric and adult spinal deformity. His research interests include early onset scoliosis with principal involvement in a national study on this topic.
Mr Nnadi has published papers in peer reviewed journals and written chapters in textbooks. Mr Nnadi is Chief Editor for the book – Early Onset Scoliosis : A comprehensive guide to treatment which was published in 2015. He also teaches on national and international courses. He is convenor for the Oxford Early Onset Scoliosis meeting which has an international attendance.
Mr Nnadi has served on the AOSpine international faculty and is an ex Research Committee Chair for the British Association of Spine Surgeons (BASS). He is an editorial board member of the European Spine Journal and Spine Deformity Journal. He is on the International Growing Spine Committee of the SRS. Mr Nnadi also works with national bodies to develop guidelines for spinal surgery.
