St John & St Elizabeth Hospital is not affected by the latest government lockdown, we are open and our services are fully operational throughout the Hospital. Bupa have recognised our Hospital as a COVID-19 green zone, complying with the UK guidance on COVID-19 infection control standards and other patient safety standards. We are doing everything we can to ensure that the Hospital is a safe place to visit.

As a result of the incidence of Coronavirus (COVID-19) across the country, we are taking measures to help protect all our patients in the Hospital.
Our top priority during the COVID–19 pandemic is to protect our patients and the staff who are caring for them.

Most people who contract Coronavirus will have mild to moderate cold and flu like symptoms. The people who are most at risk of severe symptoms are those with weakened immune systems, many of whom are in hospital. Please do not put other people in danger. If you are concerned about yours or a loved ones health, please self isolate and visit Track and Trace online.
The Hospital has put a number of measures in place to ensure patients and staff safety and social distancing measures can be adhered to. When visiting the hospital please follow these guidelines:
Do not enter the Hospital if you have a new continuous cough, high temperature (you feel hot to touch on your back or chest), loss or change to your smell or taste, any flu or cold like symptoms – please contact Track and Trace self-isolate.
The Hospital Management Team is meeting regularly to look at the impact of COVID-19 on the Hospital and the Hospice, to support staff and keep patients safe. We are particularly fortunate to have Consultant Microbiologists that work within Public Health England and the National Office at Guys & St Thomas’ to advise and support the Hospital as well as a strengthened infection control team.
