Mr. Nitin Shetty is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in spinal surgery.
He completed his orthopaedic training at the London/KSS deanery. Following this, he completed his spinal fellowships at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore and then at Guys and St. Thomas’ Hospital. During the two years of fellowship, he trained in spinal deformity cases and in minimally invasive surgical procedures.
He has been involved in full time research and this led to a master’s degree by submission of a thesis at Sheffield University. He has several publications in peer reviewed journals and has presented and co chaired sessions in international conferences. He is a Clinical and Educational Supervisor for junior trainees and orthopaedic registrars.
His NHS practice is based at Whittington Hospital and he has a special interest in minimally invasive spinal operations. His present work includes treating degenerative spinal conditions, infection and fractures.
