Miss Lauren Uppal is a Consultant Hand and Upper Limb Surgeon with expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of hand, wrist and upper limb conditions. She provides specialist care for patients with nerve compression syndromes, arthritis, tendon disorders, traumatic injuries and congenital hand differences, offering both surgical and non-surgical treatment options tailored to individual needs.
A key area of Miss Uppal’s practice is peripheral nerve surgery, including the management of nerve injuries, nerve pain and conditions affecting hand function. She regularly treats patients with carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome and other complex nerve compression disorders, as well as those experiencing weakness, pain or loss of function following nerve injury or neurological conditions.
Miss Uppal has extensive experience in reconstructive hand and upper limb surgery, including joint replacement, tendon reconstruction, nerve grafting and trauma surgery. She also provides specialist treatment for spasticity resulting from conditions such as cerebral palsy, stroke and spinal cord injury, using advanced surgical techniques and injectable therapies where appropriate. In addition, she performs skin surgery for a range of benign and malignant conditions, including skin cancer, moles, cysts and lipomas.
