Mr. Harold Nwaboku qualified in 1989 from The Middlesex and Unversity College Hospitals Medical School, University College Hospital London. He underwent specialist Orthopaedic training in various London teaching and District General Hospitals including the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

He gained a great deal of experience in hip and knee replacement surgery and arthroscopic surgery of the knee working for world renowned hip and knee surgeons. He spent six months on the Professorial unit at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and gained more experience in hip and knee surgery. Mr Nwaboku worked for the Paeditaric Orthopaedic Surgeons at Chelsea and Westminster and also spent his last six months working for a knee surgeon before taking up his post at Barnet General Hospital.

Mr. Nwaboku is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He is also a member of the British Orthopaedic Association and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Mr Nwaboku was Lead Clinician for two years at Barnet and the Service Line lead for Barnet and Chasefarm for two and a half years.

Mr Nwaboku is a founding member of a group of surgeons called Total Orthopaedics providing a multispecialty service for the assessment and treatment of patients with musculoskeletal complaints. The patients who undergo surgery can follow their recovery journey by using an App. The App has information from their treating consultant.

Other interests:

Treatments to preserve hip and knee joints. Stem cell and PRP therapy, education of junior Orthopaedic Surgeons, enhanced recovery after surgery, day case hip and knee surgery and post-operative pain control

Recreation:

Golf, swimming, walking and mountain bike riding and, more recently, spin cycling.

Mr Nwaboku lives in North London with his wife and children.
