Children’s Ward at St John & St Elizabeth Hospital
Our Children’s Ward has been carefully designed to support children and families through day surgery. We understand that coming to hospital can feel daunting — especially for young patients — which is why we’ve created a space that feels safe, calm and reassuring from the moment you arrive.
A space designed for children
Every aspect of our ward has been built around the needs of children and their families. From private bays with room for parents, to caring staff who take time to explain each step of the journey, we’re here to make sure your child’s experience is as comfortable and stress-free as possible. Whether your child is with us for a minor procedure or something more complex, they’ll be treated with kindness, dignity and expert care.
Each child has their own private, en-suite room, creating a peaceful space to recover. With bright surroundings, age-appropriate toys, and a welcoming team, we aim to make hospital stays feel less daunting and more familiar.

Personalised, patient-centred care
From the moment you arrive, you’ll be supported by our specialist paediatric team. You’ll meet your child’s nurse and consultant, who’ll guide you through what to expect. We take time to answer questions, offer reassurance, and ensure your child feels secure and understood.
