Laura is a specialist Pelvic Health Physiotherapist. She holds a BSc in Physiotherapy from King’s College London and graduated in 2010. She also holds a BSc in Health and Human Sciences from Sheffield University. Laura has both NHS and private sector experience.
Laura is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and POGP (Pelvic Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy).
Laura has completed numerous postgraduate courses to enhance her pelvic health skills. Laura thoroughly enjoys treating pelvic pain and sexual dysfunction in men and women. Laura is extremely passionate about health and fitness in the male and female athlete.
Her areas of experience include:
- Pelvic floor muscle dysfunction including urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse
- Overactive and dysfunctional bladder
- Pelvic pain including bladder pain syndrome, vaginismus, vulvodynia and pain during sexual intercourse.
- Symptoms relating to perimenopause and menopause.
- Rehabilitation post gynaecological surgery
- Pregnancy related MSK conditions, including pelvic girdle pain.
- Post-natal assessment and rehabilitation
- Rehabilitation post gynaecological surgery
- Breast cancer care (including cording, post-operative rehabilitation)
- Prostatectomy surgery and post-operative rehabilitation
- Males with chronic prostatitis and chronic pelvic pain syndrome
- Erectile Dysfunction
- Bowel problems including faecal urgency, faecal incontinence and evacuatory difficulties.
