Miss Anna Bridgens is a consultant in children’s orthopaedic surgery with extensive experience in the assessment and management of a wide range of paeediatric orthopaedic conditions. She is committed to delivering individualised, evidence-based care and achieving the best possible outcomes for children and young people.

She graduated from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ School of Medicine in 2003 and completed her Higher Surgical Specialty Training in Trauma and Orthopaedics on the Percival Pott Rotation at the Royal London Hospital. She subsequently undertook specialist Paediatric Orthopaedic Fellowships at Great Ormond Street Hospital and the Evelina Hospital for Children.

Miss Bridgens’ NHS practice is based at St George’s Hospital NHS Trust in South West London, a Level 1 Trauma Centre, where she provides care across the full spectrum of paediatric orthopaedics. Her clinical interests include paediatric trauma, neuro-disability and the multidisciplinary management of neuromuscular conditions such as cerebral palsy and spina bifida.

She has particular expertise in paediatric hip conditions, including developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH), Perthes’ disease and slipped capital femoral epiphysis (SCFE). She also regularly manages limb alignment and deformity using guided growth techniques, as well as a wide range of foot and ankle conditions in children including Club Foot.

Miss Bridgens has published multiple scientific papers and maintains an active role in professional education and research. She is a member of the British Society for Children’s Orthopaedic Surgery (BSCOS), the British Society for Surgery in Cerebral Palsy (BSSCP), the European Paediatric Orthopaedic Society (EPOS) and the American Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Disability Medicine (AACPDM), ensuring her practice remains aligned with current best practice in paediatric orthopaedic care.
