Miss Anna Bridgens is a consultant in children’s orthopaedic surgery with extensive experience in the assessment and management of a wide range of paeediatric orthopaedic conditions. She is committed to delivering individualised, evidence-based care and achieving the best possible outcomes for children and young people.

She graduated from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ School of Medicine in 2003 and completed her Higher Surgical Specialty Training in Trauma and Orthopaedics on the Percival Pott Rotation at the Royal London Hospital. She subsequently undertook specialist Paediatric Orthopaedic Fellowships at Great Ormond Street Hospital and the Evelina Hospital for Children.

Miss Bridgens’ NHS practice is based at St George’s Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in South West London, a Level 1 Major Trauma Centre, where she delivers comprehensive paediatric orthopaedic care across the full spectrum of elective and trauma conditions.

Her clinical interests include paediatric trauma and the multidisciplinary management of complex neuromuscular conditions such as cerebral palsy and spina bifida. Miss Bridgens has expertise in paediatric hip pathology, including developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH), Perthes’ disease, and slipped capital femoral epiphysis (SCFE). She also has extensive experience in the management of limb deformity and alignment using guided growth techniques, and treats a broad range of paediatric foot and ankle conditions, including clubfoot.

Miss Bridgens has published multiple scientific papers and maintains an active role in professional education and research. She is a member of the British Society for Children’s Orthopaedic Surgery (BSCOS), the British Society for Surgery in Cerebral Palsy (BSSCP), the European Paediatric Orthopaedic Society (EPOS) and the American Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Disability Medicine (AACPDM), ensuring her practice remains aligned with current best practice in paediatric orthopaedic care.
