About Dr David Simon
Dr David Simon is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Advanced Endoscopist at St John & St Elizabeth Hospital
He specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of digestive disorders and sees patients with common gastrointestinal symptoms such as bloating, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, reflux (GORD), dyspepsia, anaemia, and small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO).
Dr Simon has a specialist interest in pancreatic and biliary diseases (HPB conditions), including disorders of the pancreas, bile ducts, and gallbladder.
He trained in Paris and in London, and performs over 1,000 endoscopic procedures each year, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS).
He has developed and expanded the therapeutic endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) service, providing patients with minimally invasive, non-surgical treatments for complex pancreatic and biliary conditions, particularly in difficult cases where surgery may be high risk or avoidable.
Dr Simon is recognised for his technical expertise in advanced endoscopy, as well as his clear and reassuring communication with patients.
Dr Simon is also a Consultant at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, one of the UK’s leading academic hospital groups.
