Mr Jeremy Ockrim is a Consultant Urological Surgeon specialising in female and reconstructive urology, with particular expertise in bladder, pelvic floor and urinary conditions.
Mr Jeremy Ockrim is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at St John & St Elizabeth Hospital. He is also a Consultant Urological Surgeon at University College London Hospitals and Honorary Associate Professor at University College London.
Mr Ockrim sees adults with a wide range of urological conditions, including urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, bladder dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse, bladder pain syndrome, urinary fistulae, urethral diverticula, female urethral stricture disease and mesh-related complications.
His specialist practice includes the assessment and treatment of complex bladder and pelvic floor conditions. He also has expertise in male urinary incontinence, particularly following prostate surgery, as well as ureteric, bladder and lower urinary tract reconstruction.
Mr Ockrim’s approach is centred on understanding each patient’s symptoms, concerns and quality of life. Where appropriate, he considers non-surgical and minimally invasive treatment options before advanced reconstructive surgery.
He studied medicine at the University of Glasgow before undertaking postgraduate research at Imperial College London. He completed a clinical fellowship at the Royal Melbourne Hospital in Australia, followed by specialist training in female and reconstructive urology at the Institute of Urology, University College Hospital. He was appointed Consultant Urological Surgeon at UCLH in 2008.
Alongside his clinical work, Mr Ockrim is involved in research, teaching and lecturing. He has published widely in reconstructive urology, urinary incontinence and lower urinary tract dysfunction.
