Introducing our new Fixed Price Packages

Read time: 2 mins

We’ve launched a range of Fixed Price Packages for patients funding their own treatment, as well as new patient terms and conditions.

What’s new?

We are now offering almost 200 treatments with a guaranteed hospital fee. This means our patients will know exactly how much we charge for a procedure and can budget accordingly.

Why we are doing this

Many people do not have good information about the costs of private healthcare. In the 2023 ‘Going Private’ survey by the Independent Healthcare Providers Network (IHPN) 67% of people said that they were ‘not very familiar’ or ‘not at all familiar’ with how much different treatments or services cost. This can cause worry and uncertainty should people be seeking a diagnosis or require treatment.

St John & St Elizabeth Hospital is committed to being an open and transparent care provider. This includes being open with the costs of care.

Our new fixed price packages with the hospital fee guaranteed means our patients can benefit from clear and transparent pricing information and the assurance that comes with this.

We now offer two main packages:

The standard package

Should you decide to have treatment at our hospital, we will provide you with a standard quote. The hospital fee will cover all the costs associated with your treatment, from admission to discharge, as well as your pre-assessment ‘fitness for surgery’ check.* This means you will receive one price and won’t get a surprise bill with unexpected additional charges further down the line.

The bespoke package

Should you have additional requirements, as recommended by your consultant or our pre-assessment team, we will provide you with a bespoke quote tailored to your specific needs.*

**This will not include the consultant fee or anaesthetist fee. Our hospital fee will be guaranteed at the price quoted for three months from the date issued, subject to pre-assessment.

If you would like further information, our new Patient Terms and Conditions for both self-funding patients and those with private medical insurance are available here.
