Dr Adam Wander graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 1992. He gained extensive postgraduate experience including General Medicine, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Accident & Emergency and Dermatology in Edinburgh, New Zealand, Manchester, Jersey, and London.
He has been a Partner in his Central London General Practice since 1999, and runs two practices, Ampthill Practice and Regents Park practice in NW1. He is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners and has a number of postgraduate diplomas.
He is very keen on medical education and is a GP Tutor for University College London and Royal Free Medical Schools and a GP Trainer for London Deanery training both Foundation year Doctors and Speciality Trainees in General Practice.
Outside medicine his interests include cycling, swimming, wing chun kung fu, wine tasting and spending time on his allotment! He has 2 children, one who is following in his footsteps and recently qualified as a Doctor from the University of Manchester.
Dr Wander offers appointments for any health concern, both urgent and chronic. This includes men’s health, women’s health, children’s health, mental health, skin conditions and preventative medicine, offering investigations and tests. He can refer on, if necessary, to one of our many excellent in-house specialists for further assessment and investigations.
You can also book a well man or well woman health check consultation with Dr Adam Wander. The health check is a 30-minute consultation, starting with a detailed history and examination including pulse, blood pressure, heart and lung check, height, weight, calculation of Body Mass index (BMI) and urine check.
He then offers, for a separate fee, a comprehensive range of blood tests, including checks for the kidneys, liver, thyroid, prostate, cholesterol, blood count and other checks. Other tests such as ECG and scans are possible if required. He will then send you a summary medical report and can follow up by email or telephone which is included in the fee.
