Throughout my career, my approach to medicine has been to form a partnership with patients to understand the underlying cause of their symptoms, and provide treatment and monitoring to a greater or lesser extent depending on the patient’s preferences.
My approach to diagnosis is grounded in comprehensive history taking, examination skills and judicious use of investigations.
There is an increasing range of potential treatments in respiratory medicine. My role is to lay out the options for patients and give the benefit of my experience in making the right choice for each individual.
