Dr Anna Herrey assesses patients with chest pain, palpitations, heart murmurs, heart muscle disease and breathlessness. She has a specialist interest in cardiovascular health in women. She offers fitness for pregnancy testing and advice for women with heart problems wishing to become pregnant, as well as specialist cardiology care for pregnant women with heart problems. She is an expert in cardiac imaging (cardiac MRI, cardiac CT).
She obtained her medical degree at the Free University Berlin and undertook her PhD at the University of Hamburg. She moved to the UK in 2000 and completed a further research degree (MD) at Imperial College. She trained in medicine and cardiology in London (St Mary’s Hospital, Hammersmith Hospital, The Heart Hospital / UCLH) and was appointed consultant in 2011. She remains actively engaged in research and is a qualified medical educator with honorary senior lecturer appointments at Queen Mary University of London and the University of Cape Town.
