Dr Delphine Sekri graduated in Paris in 2001 and completed her training as a GP in 2005. Straight after, she moved to London and started working as a GP both NHS and private. She has always seen herself as a family doctor, looking after children and adults through different stages of their lives.
Dr Sekri is used to the challenges of working in London, seeing varied type of people with different cultures and expectations regarding their health and does consultation for both adult and children, for acute or chronic issues.
For children, she offers consultations for common illnesses, childhood immunisations and regular checks. For adults, she does well woman or well man checks, and is happy to discuss a wide range of health problems, to give a second opinion, to arrange further investigations or discuss a referrral to a specialist.
Also, very early in her medical studies, Dr Sekri developed an interest in Woman’s Health. She obtained a Gynaecology Diploma for GPs in France in 2005 and carried on training in that field after moving to UK. She is experienced in taking smear tests, doing breast examination and advising regarding common woman’s issues, such as pelvic pain or irregular cycles.
More recently, she became more involved in the French community, as a school doctor for the College Francais Bilingue de Londres in Kentish Town. Dr Sekri does consultations in French for patients who feel more comfortable discussing their health in their mother tongue.
