Dr Jennifer Jones studied medicine at The Royal Free Hospital in London. She trained as a Dermatologist in London at St Mary’s, Chelsea and Westminster and University College Hospitals. She also trained in the dermatology departments of the University of Miami, Auckland and Barcelona and completed her training in 2006. She has published and lectured internationally in the field of Dermatology and is a member of the British Association of Dermatologists and the American Academy of Dermatologists. She has been an NHS Consultant at the Royal Free Hospital since 2007, where she is training programme director, an educational supervisor to trainees and a consultant appraiser.
Dr Jones has a specialist interest in skin cancer and eczema as well as general dermatology including acne. Her other clinical interests include alopecia (hair loss) and in 2013 she set up a monthly specialist clinic at the Royal Free Hospital. She has been treasurer for the British Hair and Nail Society (BHNS) since it was founded and is also co founder of London Hair Specialists. She edited the hair and scalp chapter of the 4th edition of “Differential diagnoses in Dermatology”. She also consulted for a multinational skin care company for 12 years and is a spokesperson for the British Skin Foundation.
Dr Jones also lived and worked in South America for four years and is a fluent Spanish speaker.
Her private practice is exclusively at St John & St Elizabeth Hospital where she consults and manages patients presenting with a wide variety of skin complaints. She is also happy to advise on the most appropriate treatments for cosmetic complaints.
