Michael is a leading Consultant Paediatrician based in London. Michael has a broad range of experience working with babies (including premature) and children, and has a particular focus on paediatric rheumatology, asthma and complex allergies.
Paediatrics is a passion for Michael. A father of four, as well as a grandfather to five, he regards all of his little patients as if they are his own. What sets him apart is his meticulous attention to detail and always searching for a complete answer, leaving no stone unturned.
Since 1999, Michael has been a Consultant Paediatrician at the Chelsea & Westminster Hospital NHS Trust (London). He was also a Lead Paediatrician for Burns Unit and for High Dependency Unit (‘HDU’). From 2001 to 2004, Michael served as the Named Doctor for Child Protection at the Chelsea & Westminster Hospital. During that time, Michael also started a shared Oncology service and set up a paediatric allergy and rheumatology services at the hospital.
In parallel, Michael is an Honorary Clinical Lecturer in Child Health at the Imperial College School of Medicine (London).
Between 1993 and 1999, Michael held appointments as Senior Lecturer in Child Health at the Imperial College School of Medicine and an Honorary Consultant Paediatrician at the Chelsea & Westminster Hospital NHS Trust.
Over the years, Michael has published a number of research papers, and was twice awarded the prestigious Wellcome Trust research award in 1994 and 1997.
