Dr Peter Dupont is a Consultant Nephrologist at St John & St Elizabeth Hospital & an Honorary Associate Professor at UCL.
Dr Dupont qualified from the Royal College of Surgeons Medical School, Ireland in 1993 and went on to complete his specialist training in Renal Medicine and General Internal Medicine in London. He was awarded a PhD in transplantation immunology from Imperial College London, Hammersmith Hospital in 2005. He was appointed Consultant Nephrologist/ UCL Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Royal Free Hospital, London in 2006 and was inducted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland in 2008.
Dr Peter Dupont has expertise in all aspects of nephrology including hypertension, chronic kidney disease, dialysis and renal transplantation. He has acted as principal investigator for a number of clinical trials in renal transplantation and is an active member of the UK Renal Association, British Transplantation Society and The Transplantation Society. He has co-authored three book chapters in renal medicine and published more than 40 clinical papers and meeting abstracts in peer-reviewed journals.
