Mr. Mohamed Elalfy is a highly skilled double-qualified consultant ophthalmologist and associate professor who specialises in complex cornea, cataract and vision correction surgery.
With more than 20 years of experience in ophthalmology, Mr. Elalfy has successfully performed thousands of laser refractive surgeries (e.g. LASIK), cataract and lens replacement surgeries with premium lenses, implantations of implantable collamer lens (ICL) and cornea ring segments (e.g. CAIRS), and cornea collagen crosslinking.
Mr. Elalfy is the Fellowship Programme Director at the renowned Corneoplastic Unit at Queen Victoria Hospital, where he trains future ophthalmic specialists. He also holds a position as a Consultant Cornea and Cataract surgeon at the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.
As an examiner for two Royal Colleges, he plays an essential role in shaping the future of ophthalmology. Additionally, he supervises undergraduate students at the University of Brighton and supports doctoral and master’s degree candidates in ophthalmology.
Mr. Elalfy holds the title of Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the Research Institute of Ophthalmology, Egypt, and has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications. His passion for evidence-based ophthalmology drives him to continuously improve patient care and outcomes.
