Mr Elliot Sorene is a Consultant Orthopaedic, Hand and Upper Limb Surgeon with extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of hand, wrist and elbow conditions. He provides specialist care for patients with both common and complex upper limb disorders, combining advanced surgical expertise with a personalised, patient-centred approach.
His practice encompasses the full spectrum of hand and upper limb surgery, including the treatment of arthritis, nerve compression syndromes, tendon disorders, sports injuries, chronic wrist pain and traumatic injuries affecting the hand, wrist and elbow. He has particular expertise in reconstructive surgery, wrist replacement, finger joint replacement and the management of complex hand and wrist conditions.
Mr Sorene adopts a holistic, tailor-made approach to patient care, working closely with hand therapists and using advanced imaging techniques to ensure each treatment plan is individually tailored. He has an international reputation in treating elite sports professionals and regularly provides care to Premier League football players, professional rugby and cricket teams, motor sports athletes, and performing artists. In 2012, he led a team of specialist hand surgeons delivering medical services for hand and wrist injuries at the London Olympic and Paralympic Games. He also serves as the hand and wrist surgeon for London Underground and is trusted by Oscar-winning actors and acclaimed musicians.
He is an examiner for the British Diploma in Hand Surgery (BSSH) and regularly teaches surgical techniques in hand and wrist surgery both in the UK and abroad. He is a specialty editor and an invited reviewer for various medical journals. He has contributed original research and book chapters and is frequently invited to present at international meetings.
In 2013, Mr Sorene was listed as the only super-specialised hand, wrist and elbow surgeon in Tatler magazine’s guide to Britain’s 250 best doctors, selected by a panel of senior GPs and medical experts.
