St John & St Elizabeth Hospital treat 100 patients with knee arthritis with Arthrosamid

On Friday 12th December, St John & St Elizabeth Hospital celebrated treating over 100 Arthrosamid patients since launching the service in late 2023. This is a tremendous milestone for the team and our patients.

This minimally invasive treatment is designed for people with knee arthritis. The treatment involves injecting a hydrogel directly into the joint, helping to reduce pain and improve mobility. It is an excellent option for people with knee pain who either want a non-surgical treatment or are unable to have general anaesthetic for other knee operations – in fact our oldest patient was 97 years old.

Mr Parag Jaiswal Mr Joyti Saksena and Mr James Youngman were joined by members of our outpatient & marketing teams, and representatives from Contura Orthopaedics Ltd for a slice of cake to celebrate this tremendous milestone for the team and our patients.
