Our Charity
Private Healthcare with a purpose
St John & St Elizabeth Hospital is a charity, meaning that every time you visit us for treatment, you are helping to fund our on-site Hospice, St John’s.
Profits from our world-renowned Hospital go towards providing free specialist palliative care to over 4,000 patients and their families each year. Patients receive the support and treatment they need in a safe and secure environment, and receive the very highest standards of care. Unlike other private hospitals, when you have your treatment with us you are also helping to improve the lives of people in your local community.
Every appointment supports our on-site Hospice
Inpatient Unit
The Hospice Inpatient Unit provides specialist 24-hour care including end-of-life care, symptom control, respite and palliative care rehabilitation.
Wellbeing Centre
The Hospice Wellbeing Centre provides palliative care, complementary therapies, resources and activity support groups for patients and bereaved relatives.
Hospice@Home
The Hospice@Home service extends care provided by the Hospice to those who want to remain at home, in familiar and comfortable surroundings during the later stages of their illness.
Our Ethos
As a charity, we must operate on a not-for-profit basis and our assets are used for charitable purposes.
We need your help to continue providing the best possible care and support to our patients and their loved ones. Without the generosity and commitment of our supporters, we could not continue to care for more than 4,000 patients and their loved ones every year whether at the Hospice or in their own homes.
