A stroke is a frightening experience for patients and their families. Our London Stroke Clinic is designed to give you peace of mind and round-the-clock care following a stroke so that you can focus on getting better.

Our multi-disciplinary team will be there for you every step and provide you with an individualised long-term care plan so that you and your family can be confident in having the best possible recovery once you’re back at home.

About our London Stroke Clinic

The Stroke Clinic at St John & St Elizabeth Hospital is one of the UK’s best-equipped private centres for stroke rehabilitation.

Our state-of-the-art facility is designed for people who have had emergency treatment for a stroke and need a calm space to rest and focus on recovering during the crucial following days. We also provide ongoing care for people once they’ve returned home so that they can keep making progress and live life to the fullest.

We work in partnership with our patients and their families to ensure they feel listened to, are involved in their care and feel confident in their recovery journey.

We are a fully accredited BUPA rehabilitation unit, and our multi-disciplinary team is led by Consultant Physicians and Neurologists who hold senior positions in London Teaching Hospitals.

Your treatment is in the best hands at our private stroke hospital in London.

Patient story

“I think anyone would be very lucky to come here.”

One of our stroke patients lost mobility in the right side of her body after having a stroke and needed rehabilitation to regain movement and improve her ability to walk. During her treatment, she was given expert care and said the staff were “absolutely amazing” and always thought of other things she could do in line with her interests during her rehabilitation.

"Daphna my occupational therapist is extraordinary and she's another who never lets you out of the hard work but she knows when you've gone as far as you can do. She has a good feel for when to push and when to step back a bit."

Get in touch

If you have any questions, or would like to find out more, get in touch with our Stroke Clinic by filling out the contact form or giving us a call on 020 7806 4075.

Our Appointments Team will try their hardest to find you the earliest appointment possible with the best specialist.

If you’re paying for yourself, you don’t need a referral from your GP for a consultation. Simply book an appointment!

We will need a referral for any scans though, such as X-rays and MRIs. Ask your GP for a referral, or we might be able to arrange this for you at our on-site private GP.

If you have health insurance (e.g. Bupa, Axa, Aviva), get in touch with them and get authorisation before any treatment. In most cases you will also need to get a referral letter from your GP.

If you’re not registered with a GP, book an appointment at our in-house private GP practice.
