Our paediatric team is equipped to meet the unique needs of your children with compassion, expertise and excellence. Wherever you are on your healthcare journey there is someone here to help!

Our paediatric department is a nurturing environment where a small and dedicated team have been serving the local community since 2006. Children and their families are treated with respect, dignity and empathy.

Breastfeeding issues? Developmental questions? Rash? Fever? Why are they sick again? Is this normal? Allergy? Cough? Bumped their head? Reflux? Crying? Worried? Anxious? Bed wetting? Constipation?

We want to empower you with the knowledge and support to better care for your children- now and in the future.

We understand the importance of prompt advice, that’s why we provide appointments with our specialist consultants at short notice and on the same day. We also aim to provide same day diagnostic testing, such as blood tests or x rays.

When St John and St Elizabeth’s is not the right place for your child we will send you to exactly the right professional or area offering the best possible care at the right place and the right time. With this ethos our team of dedicated paediatric consultants build long-lasting relationships with children and families, supporting the precious journey from birth into adulthood.

Our Paediatric department also supports the Urgent Care Centre by providing expert opinion for all children who walk into the hospital of St John and St Elizabeth’s. We further extend that welcome to our youngest clients, right from birth we are here for you.

We look forward to meeting you.

I completed my MSc is Advanced Paediatric Clinical Practice in 2017, under the wonderful clinical supervision of Dr M Coren.

I have worked at St John and St Elizabeth’s for over 12 years and love the ethos both the hospital and the paediatric team adhere to.

I see children for minor injury and illness in both the Outpatient and Urgent Care Centre settings. I offer individualised immunisation schedules for overseas families or simply extra protection over and above what the NHS provides.I work with a lot of children who have developed profound needle phobias. I can happily say I have successfully helped many children and young adolescents overcome their fears and initiate coping strategies for interventional procedures.
