Mr. Evangelos Tsialogiannis is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals (ASPH), Surrey, UK, with a specialist focus on anterior minimally invasive (AMIS) hip replacement and the management of sports knee injuries.

He served for over 15 years in the Greek Army Medical Corps, achieving the rank of Major, and was decorated with the Military Merit Medal, the Order of the Phoenix (Golden Cross), and the United Nations Medal Award for his service under NATO command in Yugoslavia.

Mr. Tsialogiannis completed two advanced fellowships in lower limb arthroplasty. The first, a Royal College of Surgeons–recognised fellowship at ASPH, concentrated on hip and knee replacement and the treatment of soft tissue injuries in young adults. He then trained at the Sunnybrook Science Centre in Toronto, Canada, the country’s largest arthroplasty centre, under internationally renowned surgeons including Dr. Hugh Cameron, Dr. John Cameron, and Dr. Jeff Gollish.

His current practice is centred on AMIS hip replacement, using techniques such as the SPAIR and direct anterior approaches, combined with enhanced recovery pathways and day-case surgery. In parallel, he has developed significant expertise in sports-related knee injuries, performing advanced arthroscopic procedures for meniscal and ligament injuries to enable early return to activity.

He also performs robotic-assisted knee replacements and applies modern methods in trauma surgery, maintaining a comprehensive and patient-centred orthopaedic practice.

Selected by the Hellenic Army for a competitive scholarship to undertake advanced orthopaedic training, in recognition of academic and clinical excellence.
