Dr Gerry Coghlan is a Consultant Cardiologist. Following his training in Dublin, Harefield and London, Dr Coghlan consults from St John & St Elizabeth Hospital, The Royal Free Hospital and holds Honorary posts at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth; St. Thomas’ Hospital, London; Royal United Hospital, Bath; Dundonald Hospital, Belfast; Derriford Hospital, Plymouth.
He is an international authority on pulmonary hypertension and specialises in all aspects of cardiology.
Dr Coghlan won the Molloy prize for chemistry in 1978, UCD scholarship in 1979, UCD prize in 1980, UCD & MMH prizes in 1981, prize in paediatrics in 1982 and a Silver medal in surgery in 1983.
