Mr. Panagiotis Drymousis is a highly accomplished Consultant General and Upper Gastrointestinal (GI) Surgeon with a robust educational background and extensive clinical experience. He earned his medical degree from the University of Athens, followed by surgical training at Hippocration Hospital in Athens. His journey in surgery led him to the UK, where he refined his skills through advanced training in Hepatobiliary (HPB) surgery, including a Senior Clinical Fellowship at Hammersmith Hospital in London.
Mr. Drymousis holds a PhD focused on complex upper gastrointestinal surgeries and the management of related complications. He was awarded a prestigious Marie Curie European Scholarship for advanced training and research in HPB and Neuroendocrine Surgery.
His surgical expertise encompasses a wide range of procedures, including laparoscopic gallbladder removal, various hernia repairs, acid reflux surgery, and the management of gallstone disease. Beyond his clinical practice, Mr. Drymousis is passionate about education and training, mentoring junior doctors and surgeons in the field. He actively leads the post-graduate centre at Ealing Hospital as associate Director of Medical Education in London North-West University Healthcare NHS Trust.
He is an active researcher, frequently presenting his findings at national and international conferences, and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters.
