Mr Salvatore Russo

Mr Russo is a Consultant Neurosurgeon specialising in complex spinal reconstructive surgery for trauma, tumour and degenerative disease performing over 300 spinal operations a year. His NHS practice is based at Imperial College, one of London’s largest university tertiary referral centres for spine surgery.

He is currently the lead of the complex spine multidisciplinary team.  He is considered a world-renowned leading expert in spinal endoscopy, minimally invasive surgery, anterior and lateral approaches to the spine, revision surgery and adult spinal deformity.

He is a speaker and a chairman of many international conferences and his prolific research contributions include over a hundred scientific articles published in high-impact journals. Driven by a passion for his work, Mr. Russo’s practice is built on strong partnerships with his patients and a commitment to clinical excellence. He focuses on endoscopic and minimally invasive procedures, employing innovative surgical techniques that aim to minimise tissue damage, reduce recovery time, and optimise patient outcomes.
