Miss Jasdeep Gahir is a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast and General Surgeon. She currently leads the Breast Surgery Unit at the North Middlesex University Hospital and also runs General Surgery clinics.

Miss Jasdeep Gahir graduated from Leeds University in 1999, worked in Cardiff where she completed her Breast Surgery Training. She then moved to London where she joined the Institute of Cancer Research and worked on matched pairs of Primary Breast Cancer and Distant Metastasis. She also worked in Birmingham, Coventry and Sandwell where she covered both Breast and General Surgery; she decided to move back to London to be with her family. She then joined the BARTS Group at the Royal London Hospital.

Miss Jasdeep Gahir undertook an International Fellowship in Milan, at the world-renowned Institute of Umberto Veronesi, where she made valuable relationships to enhance the International connections in Breast Surgery. She is currently the Lead for Education at the London Cancer and an ARCP panelist for trainees.

After joining the North Middlesex Hospital, she actively worked towards the set-up of Oncoplastic Services and performed the first breast reconstruction at this Trust in March 2014. The reconstruction rate is well above 50% compared to the National level of 20%, with every patient being offered the best options.  Miss Jasdeep Gahir looks after both male and female patients. Breast surgery is changing, and the perception of patients is not just getting their cancer treatment but at the same time still ensuring their beauty and wellbeing is maintained.

Miss Jasdeep Gahir also holds General Surgery clinics and her area of interests are laparoscopic cholecystectomies, hernias, laparoscopic open surgeries, complex abdominal wall, piles, skin lesions, lumps and bumps. She lives in London with her husband and two children, together we enjoy car racing, playing tennis, playing rugby and watching Formula 1.

Miss Jasdeep Gahir is also an active member of the Fancy Foundation Charity and her long-term plan is to set up a Breast Charity in Kenya.
