GP webinar: vascular thrombosis management

Mr David Greenstein

Mr David Greenstein is a Consultant Venous/ Vascular Surgeon. He is based at Northwick Park Hospital and the Hospital of St John & St Elizabeth. He regularly organises workshops and is on the European Venous Forum faculty.

He graduated at Leeds University in 1989 and has since trained in major vascular units at Nottingham, Sheffield and Adelaide, Australia.

His special interest is the modern management of venous disease , deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and the swollen leg. For treating varicose veins, thread veins and leg ulcers, Mr Greenstein offers pioneering laser treatment for varicose veins and varicose leg ulcers including VNUS treatment and ClariVein treatment as well as venous superglue and infra red assisted sclerotherapy. He also has an interest in Pelvic Venous Congestion Syndrome

He has recently been pioneering new treatments and pathways in deep vein thrombosis (DVT) management using thrombolysis and intravenous stents with the aim to return the leg to normal size and function.

Outside work David has 3 boys and is keen runner and a member of Shaftsbury Barnet Harriers X-Country Team. He also enjoys football.
