The Hospital of St John & St Elizabeth has achieved outstanding results in our latest patient satisfaction survey, we are delighted to announce. Nearly 99% of patients, who completed the questionnaire, rated their overall care as ‘good’ or ‘very good.’
Meanwhile, 98% of patients surveyed said they would be ‘likely’ or ‘extremely likely’ to recommend our Hospital, with 97.5% rating the catering experience as ‘good’ or ‘excellent.’

• 97% of patients stated their overall opinion of their accommodation was ‘very good or ‘excellent’
• 96.5% of patients answered ‘yes definitely’ when asked if they felt that they were treated with respect and dignity
• 94.4% of patients answered ‘yes always’ when asked if they had confidence and trust in the nurse treating them
The survey was independently conducted by HWA Consulting, recording the feedback from hundreds of patients, who visited the Hospital between April and June 2019.
CEO Caroline Fox said: “These are wonderful results and show the quality of care we are now offering is making a real difference to our patients’ experience.
“All our success is down to our staff, your teamwork and the wonderful care you give to our patients on a daily basis and it is enabling us to thrive in a difficult market when some of our rivals are struggling.”
The results echo the strong financial performance we have had so far this year. At the end of June we are still tracking ahead of budget, while appointments made to our specialist units via the contact centre are up 50% compared to last year.
Despite opposition from other urgent care centres, Casualty First is showing year on year growth and outpatient attendance is up 6%.
