Our London-based general surgery consultants work from our St John St Elizabeth Hospital and work with patients to find practical, safe solutions to a wide range of health issues. They’ll take time to explain your diagnosis, discuss your treatment options, and make sure you feel informed and supported before and after surgery.
From straightforward procedures to more complex cases, our General Surgery Clinic provides a calm, professional environment where patients feel listened to and looked after. Many of the procedures we offer are performed as day cases, allowing you to return home the same day, where appropriate.
We aim to keep waiting times short and explanations simple, so you always know what to expect and when.

Not always. Smaller procedures such as skin lump removal may use local anaesthetic. Larger or more complex operations are typically done under general anaesthetic. Your consultant will explain what’s involved in your case and answer any questions.
