Dr Dan Ornadel is a Consultant Respiratory Physician at Northwick Park Hospital, Harrow. He qualified at Balliol College, Oxford and St Thomas’ Hospital, followed by postgraduate training at UCLH, Middlesex and Whittington hospitals, and an MD from London University in the biology of lung cancer. He was appointed Consultant in 1996. His areas of interest include lung cancer, exercise-induced asthma and breathlessness, chronic cough, bronchoscopy, EBUS, COPD and sleep apnoea.
Dr Dan Ornadel has been lead lung cancer physician at Northwick Park since 2002 and was clinical lead for respiratory medicine. He is currently undertaking a project to look at speeding up the diagnostic pathway for patients with suspected lung cancer. He is experienced in bronchoscopy and EBUS. He has wide expertise in all aspects of respiratory and acute general medicine.
He was lead respiratory physician for the medical centre at the London 2012 Olympics and has run a regular clinic for athletes with breathing disorders at the ULCH National Centre for Sport and Exercise Medicine.
