Biography

Dr Michael Fertleman studied preclinical medicine at Cambridge University and then completed a law degree. He took his clinical studies at Imperial College under a Harmsworth Scholarship, and is now a Consultant in General Medicine and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation at St Mary’s and Charing Cross Hospitals, London.

Dr Fertleman is the chairman of the medical admissions unit at the Wellington Hospital, which provides GPs with direct access to inpatient facilities for patients suffering from acute medical problems. He also specialises in peri-operative care including pre-operative assessment, post operative medical problems and rehabilitation.
