Rajesh Kavia is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Northwick Park and Central Middlesex Hospital and Functional Urology Consultant at Imperial College NHS Trust. His main interest is functional urology and incontinence in both females and males. He offers Botox therapy for the bladder as well as Sacral Nerve Stimulation for overactive bladder symptoms, for Stress incontinence, he offers the whole range of treatments with all cases being discussed in the London North West NHS Trust Incontinence MDT. He is trained in all aspects of general urology and delighted to deal with diagnostics in prostate and bladder problems and there management, chronic urological pain, erectile dysfunction, circumcisions, endoscopic stone management. He also offers general paediatric urology, including circumcisions and inguino-scrotal procedures. He has performed the first Urolift procedure within the NHS within the M25, an innovative minimally invasive procedure for benign prostate obstruction. He has also performed the procedure under local anaesthesia privately.

Having trained at Charing Cross & Westminster Medical School graduating in 1999 from Imperial College (University of London) with Multiple Distinctions in his MB BS. He undertook research at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery and has published internationally cited papers on functional brain imaging in urology and neuromodulation. He was a lead author on the multinational trial of cannabis for overactive bladder in MS. His research has led to internationally recognised prizes and awards. He trained in the North West London Urology rotation, completing his training in a Fellowship post in the internationally recognised department of female and reconstructive urology at University College London Hospital. He is a recognised educator for junior doctors being a Course Director for the North West London Mock FRCS(Urol) viva course and examiner for higher surgical trainees in London. He is also a PLAB examiner and associate of the GMC.

He was the Clinical Lead for Pay and Value for Money at London North West NHS Trust and has numerous other managerial roles within the NHS. He has just been appointment Freedom to Speak Up Guardian at London North West University Trust.
